The Bible teaches that parents are to be the primary providers for “passing on the faith” to their children. At AWC, it’s our intent to partner with parents to enhance the spiritual education and discipline being offered in the home. Our programming is biblical, culturally relevant, and offers kids many opportunities to have fun, while growing in their faith.

“FUN ON A FIRM FOUNDATION” is our goal, as we continue to develop and modify our programs to address the needs of today’s children. We understand that not all kids learn in the same way, so we incorporate many different learning activities and strategies to address differing learning styles. You’ll see the “traditional” modes of teaching, as well as use of exciting new media tools, along with plenty of active learning. Our staff of teachers and workers exhibits the love of Christ as they minister to your children.

Maintaining a safe and secure environment for your children is always a priority with us.

SUNDAY CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS

Nursery
Sunday Morning 9:00 and 10:30 a.m.
Our nursery provides a loving, safe environment for children up to two years of age. Our workers are dedicated to caring for the needs of the little ones and providing activities to help make this time a positive experience for them.

Sunday School
Sunday Morning 9:00 a.m.
Our Children’s Department offers small group classes for children from 2 years of age through 6th grade. This is a true discipleship program, using age-appropriate materials at different grade levels to teach Bible stories and foundational Christian truths.

Tot’s Church
Sunday Morning 10:30 a.m.
Tot’s Church is designed for preschoolers from age two to pre-K (ages 4 and 5). Music, Bible stories, crafts, and activities are part of this exciting ministry.

Kid’s Church
Sunday Morning 10:30 a.m.
Kids from Kindergarten through 4th grade gather to participate in a service that integrates many aspects of our regular worship service. Praise songs, activities, prayers, and a sermon are planned to help children worship God in ways they can comprehend and relate to.

MIDWEEK CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS

AWANA
Wednesday Night 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
A mid-week program for ages 3 through 6th grade. Handbook time, music, physical activities, and crafts are used to teach Bible lessons in fun and exciting ways. Click on the AWANA sidebar to find out more.
