Care Team Do the troubles of life have you feeling overwhelmed? Does it seem like you’re all alone and no ones cares? Well, the truth is...there is someone who cares. We do!!  The Care Team is a ministry of the Avon Wesleyan Church. This team provides compassionate and confidential care to those in our own congregation who are facing the difficulties of life. We strive to respond to real- life needs in practical ways while respecting the individuals involved. Some of the ways that we are available to help are:
- cook and deliver meals to the sick and needy.
- visit and provide companionship to those who are lonely.
- provide transportation to Drs appts etc.
- babysit for families in crisis situations.
- organize work days for families who need help with a special project.
- provide financial assistance for a specific need.
- send flowers to those hospitalized or who’ve had a death in the family.
- send cards and make phone calls to support and encourage individuals.
- provide information about other agencies/resources when necessary.
